Born in Santarém, Portugal, in 1971. Graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon. His work ranges from painting, drawing, sculpture and performance art. Since 1990, he has been exhibiting regularly, with numerous awards, including the 1st prize at "VIDArte". Carlos Farinha was a founding member of the "Epipiderme" art project and presents a public work with the sculpture "Cortiçada" in Proença-a-Nova.  In 2007 he started the project "O Mundo à Cabeceira" (The World at the Headbord), focusing his work on social and ironic behavior, with a strong figurative content.​
